GERCC 1/12th Mardave Mini Rules

The brief notes below are intended to provide you with the basic information you need to help you start racing with us and let you know what your obligations are when competing in events run by the club.

Permitted Chassis

Theses are the current accepted chassis available to the Mardave Mini class.

Kamtec Mini Racer.

Mardave Mini Assassin.

Mini Mongrel.

Permitted Chassis Notes:...

(1) - Mini Mongrel - A car made up from the parts contained in either of the above kits, but nothing extra, and placed in a way that is identical to either kit.

(2) - GRP or Carbon chassis and parts permitted.

(3) - The Mardave side spring conversion is permitted.


Permitted Motors

You may use any brushed sealed can motor either 20 turn or 21 turn that is supplied from Mardave, Kamtec, or Core.


Permitted Electronic Speed Controller (ESC)

You may use any of the Mtroniks range: K1, Viper, Ultra RS, ECO, HR3, HR3X or HR4 that is supplied from Mardave, Kamtec.

Electronic Speed Controller Notes:...

(1) - No reverse is allowed in the A FINAL.


Permitted Batteries

You may use any 4 cell NiMh.

Battery Notes:...

(1) - Only NiMh cels are permitted.

(2) - Battery position cannot be moved forward or backwards from original.

(3) - There is no set minimum or maximum mAh.


Permitted Gearing

You may use any 14t, 15t, 16t or 17t pinion.

You may use any spur gear between 46t to 50t.

Gearing Notes:...

(1) - Only 32dp gearing is permitted.


Permitted Tyres

You may use any any single nut GT12 wheels and tyres from Mardave, Kamtec or Contact.

You may use any spur gear between 46tooth to 50tooth.

Tyre Notes:...

(1) - Only single nut steel axles are permitted.


Permitted Body Shells

You may use any any Lexan or Polycarbonate mini chassis sized shell from Mardave, Kamtec or Phat Bodies.

Body shell Notes:...

(1) - Rear wings are permitted.


Other Mandatory Requirements

You may use any any water based tyre additive.

You may not use any form of differential, rear axles must remain solid.

You may not change the battery position from the kit placement.

You may not run the car without a front bumper.


Permitted Upgrades:..

Motor Heatsink.

Power Capacitors.

Internal rear bumpers.

Any steering servo.

Any strength kingpins.

Any strength suspension spring front and rear.

Any track rods, ball cups and balls.

Any bearing types are allowed on front and rear axles.

Mardave Z Drive system or equivalent.

Shims.
